Spring in Yellowstone is one of the most rewarding times of the year for serious wildlife photographers. Photograph a sow grizzly with her newborn cubs wrestling, interacting, or pausing to nurse in soft morning light. This season offers unmatched opportunities for dynamic behavioral photography. With bears highly visible across open valleys and fresh green meadows, you’ll have exceptional opportunities to create powerful compositions in beautiful, diffused spring conditions.
But bears are only part of the story. Bison calves wobble through their first days of life, fox kits explore cautiously beyond the den, and young elk and pronghorn test their legs against a dramatic mountain backdrop. Every day offers authentic, fleeting moments that define the season of renewal.
With two experienced guides, Tristen and Neil, you’ll benefit from twice the eyes searching for wildlife, twice the understanding of animal behavior, and twice the ability to position you safely and strategically for peak action. Our small-group, hands-on approach ensures you refine your technique, anticipate moments before they unfold, and return home with portfolio-worthy images you simply couldn’t create on your own.
